HO, HO, HOME!

HO, HO, HOME!

If you’re like me, you love the holidays — but that doesn’t always mean you want to turn your home into a full-on winter wonderland. Sometimes, small and intentional adjustments are all you need to bring in that cozy holiday feel while keeping your space elevated and stylish.

If you focus on these three points, your home will feel festive for the season without losing its edge.

1. Red & Green or Whatever

Start with your color story for the season. Decide on what vibe you’re going for — maybe it’s the classic red and green, an icy blue and silver, or a neutral palette with a hint of sparkle.
Whatever it is, commit to that color theme so when you’re out shopping for decor, there’s a sense of cohesion throughout your space. It’ll make even the smallest touches feel intentional and pulled together.

2. Where's it Going?

Placement is everything.
My rule: touch at least three main points in your home — the entry, dining, and seating areas. These are the entertaining zones, the spaces your guests are most likely to see.

Holiday decor overload happens fast when every corner is decked out with reindeer and snowflakes. Instead, focus on those key zones for balance and a curated feel that still wows your guests.

3. “The What”

Now for the fun part — what you’re actually decorating with. Don’t just grab anything glittery; pick pieces that truly catch your eye, complement your existing decor, and add a hint of holiday flair.

Some of my favorite subtle seasonal touches include:

  • Winter stems or greenery

  • Sleek deer silhouettes

  • Ornaments displayed in a bowl or tray

These little details bring the season in without screaming “Christmas.”

I’ll link some of my go-to holiday finds here that add that perfect dose of festive style — chic, minimal, and still so cozy.

Final Thought:
Your holiday refresh doesn’t need to be dramatic to be impactful. By being intentional with color, placement, and what you choose, your space can feel warm, inviting, and festive — all while staying true to your personal style.
