It’s Not Just What — It’s How
Because presentation changes everything.
When it comes to building a gallery wall — whether you're using personal photos or sourced artwork — the layout is what takes it from a solid 7 to a flawless 10. There’s just something about a matted frame that instantly elevates the piece inside. It doesn’t work for every single photo, but more often than not, it adds that clean, luxe vibe we all love.
For the Love of DIY
Seriously, you could scribble some words on a piece of printer paper, throw it in a nice frame, and it’ll give off “I spent hundreds on this” energy. That’s the power of presentation.
I'll tag some of my favorite go-to frames to make the hunt less difficult for you, because you know I don't gatekeep.
Horizontal is the Way
If you’re working with a set of three prints, I know it's tempting to hang them diagonally. Please... resist. I’m begging you to line them up — straight across — and give them at least 3 to 5 inches of breathing room between each frame. And make sure they sit at eye level. It’s one of the easiest ways to make your space feel intentional, balanced, and put together.
Think of how you view art in a museum: you’re not craning your neck to see something hung too high or tilted sideways. Keep that same energy in your home.
So if you take nothing else from me this week, let it be this: it's not always about what you hang — it's about how you hang it. Styling and placement go a long way. Bookmark these tips and keep them in mind next time you're ready to hang some art.
