Copy + Paste

Copy + Paste

Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok are great sources of inspiration. Elevated products and fresh ideas have never been more accessible. But where’s the line between “inspired” and “copy-paste”? At what point does your home start to feel like a carbon copy of an algorithm instead of a reflection of you?

A truly unique space isn’t just about hanging personal artwork or adding a single “statement” piece. It’s about layering details that tell your story. When I work with clients, I start every intake by asking about their day-to-day life, the things they love, and even the things they don’t. That way, the design isn’t for me—it’s for them.

From there, I pull in elements that create personality and spark conversation. Maybe it’s a favorite color woven into textiles. A floral stem in a unique arrangement. A hobby that can be highlighted in a subtle, elevated way.

For example, if a client loves to travel, I might style the coffee table with books on destinations they dream about, or incorporate a sleek globe or a sculptural airplane as a nod to their adventures. If they’re into sports, I might source art or books that celebrate the game—but in a sophisticated way that doesn’t scream “man cave.” It’s all about sourcing the idea in an elevated way.

One of my favorite personality layers? Books. There are endless options, and they add both beauty and function. Guests see something stylish, while the client gets to actually enjoy reading about the things they care about. It’s a quiet but powerful way to say, This is me, not I saw this on Pinterest.

✨ Ready to create a space that reflects your story instead of the algorithm? Let’s work together to design a home that’s as personal as it is polished.
